At Warrington Deaf Centre, we are proud to offer:
Level One and Level Two BSL courses, giving learners the chance to develop their skills in an accessible, friendly, and highly supportive environment.
All our courses are taught by our Centre Manager, who is profoundly Deaf and brings extensive knowledge, experience, and passion to every session.
This ensures that learners benefit from authentic teaching, real-life insight, and a true understanding of the Deaf community.
Both Level One and Level Two courses take place in our Centre, and all course fees include assessment fees, meaning you never have to worry about hidden costs.
Whether you’re learning for personal interest, professional development, or to communicate more naturally with Deaf friends, family, or colleagues, our courses offer an inspiring and enjoyable learning experience.

Our Courses
Level 1
A 30 Week Introduction to BSL course designed for complete beginners or those wishing to build a
solid foundation in BSL.
Level 2
A 35 Week Course to deepen your skills and expand on the knowledge gained in Level One to allow you to grow your signing ability even further.
Level One – Introduction to BSL
Duration: Approximately 30 weeks
Location: Warrington Deaf Centre
Days/Times: Thursdays
6.30pm – 8.30pm
Cost:
Over 18s £300 (or a deposit of £100 and 4 monthly instalments of £50)
Under 18s £267 (or a deposit of £67 and 4 monthly instalments of £50)
Our Level One course is designed for complete beginners or those wishing to build a solid foundation in BSL.
Over approximately 30 weeks, you will learn the essential vocabulary and skills needed to hold a basic conversation with a Deaf BSL user.
Topics include greetings, colours, pets, household items, family, directions, and much more.
By the end, you will feel confident in everyday signing and have a strong base to build on.
Level Two – Deepen Your Skills
Duration: Approximately 35 weeks
Location: Warrington Deaf Centre
Days/Times: Mondays
6.30pm – 8.30pm
Cost:
Over 18s £450 (or a deposit of £150 and 6 monthly instalments of £50)
Under 18s £399 (or a deposit of £99 and 6 monthly instalments of £50)
Level Two expands on the knowledge gained in Level One and allows you to grow your signing ability even further.
Over around 35 weeks, you will focus on developing your receptive skills, improving your understanding of signed conversations, and using BSL grammar confidently and naturally.
This level is perfect for those who want to communicate more effectively in social, workplace, or community settings.
