At the Deaf Centre, we are proud to offer a range of high-quality training opportunities designed to improve communication, increase awareness, and support inclusive environments across the community.
We provide British Sign Language (BSL) Courses at Level One and Level Two, both of which are fully accredited by Signature, the leading awarding body for deaf communication qualifications. These courses offer learners a strong foundation in BSL, helping them develop practical signing skills, confidence, and a deeper understanding of Deaf culture.
In addition to accredited BSL courses, we deliver Deaf Awareness sessions. These can be provided as general one-off sessions or designed as bespoke training packages tailored to the specific needs of companies, organisations, schools, or community groups.
These sessions help participants gain a better understanding of Deaf experiences, communication barriers, inclusive practices, and how to support Deaf individuals in everyday settings. All of our training — both BSL courses and Deaf Awareness sessions — is led by our Centre Manager, who is profoundly Deaf and brings a wealth of lived experience, cultural knowledge, and professional expertise.

Our Deaf Awareness Sessions are designed to give your organisation the knowledge,

Sign Language Courses
We offer Level One and Level Two BSL courses, giving learners the chance to develop their skills in an accessible, friendly, and highly supportive environment.
Room Hire Services
Training Rooms
We offer versatile and welcoming spaces designed to meet a wide range of needs.
Both hireable spaces offer level access throughout, ensuring ease of movement for wheelchair users and those with mobility needs.
Social Club
For larger events, our Social Club provides capacity for up to 100 guests and can be adapted for a variety of functions.
The room includes sufficient tables and seating, and tea and coffee can be arranged as needed.
