Friday Social
Our Friday Social takes place every week from 7pm to 11pm and is open to all members and visitors, both Deaf and hearing.
Held in our Social Club, this session offers a warm, welcoming, and relaxed environment where people can unwind at the end of the week and spend time with friends—free from communication barriers.
The bar is open throughout the evening and is run by our dedicated committee of volunteers. Many of our attendees enjoy simply catching up and chatting, while others like to bring out the Uno cards or settle into a friendly game of cards.
Whether you prefer a lively conversation or a laid-back activity, the Friday Social has something for everyone
This weekly gathering plays an important role within the Deaf community. It provides a safe and accessible space where Deaf individuals can communicate freely, feel understood, and truly be themselves.
Our Friday Social is more than an evening out—it’s a place where people feel accepted, supported, and part of a community that values connection and accessibility.
By offering a consistent social environment, the session helps to combat loneliness, reduce isolation, and strengthen connections across the community. It also creates a setting where hearing visitors can engage, learn, and build positive relationships in an inclusive atmosphere.
